The story

A Futurist documentary on Futurism, "Art/Life: The Futurist Revolution" follows the creation of the Futurist art movement in early 20th century Italy as it was dreamed up by Filippo Marinetti following a driving accident. The documentary features reenactments, commentary from scholars and critics, and as of yet unpublished archival images and artworks. Verdone incorporates into his documentary the stylistic elements of speed, dynamism, simultaneity, technology, and modernity which inspired the Futurism movement in its many manifestos on all elements of artistic and everyday life.
